In the exclusive video, the Guides reveal some of the worst and most bizarre foods they’ve ever tried across their travels, and frankly, some choices have made us squirm.

“Over the years we’ve tried a lot of different cultural foods and I think this year really pushed the boundaries,” Dorian prefaced.

Janetta however, cut straight to the chase: “We ate guinea pig in Peru which is very, very strange…”

For reasons why, we think you can imagine.

“I had guinea pigs for pets when I was young,” Janetta confirmed.

In a flashback scene, Kev, Dorian and Teng don’t know what they’re about to get into. 

“Close your eyes… ready?” the chef teased before placing a fried platter on the table.

“Oh my god, that scared the s–t out of me,” Teng gasped.

“It was deep fried, flattened… it looked like road kill,” Kevin recalled. “It was pretty hideous.”

Meanwhile, seasoned traveller Matt thinks he’s mastered the art to trying local dishes.

“I would prefer to try the food first then know what it is…” he said. But Brett seemed to disagree.

”No, I want to decide if that animal body part belongs in my mouth or not,” he laughed.

In fact, the two came across quite the unusual taco ingredient while travelling in Mexico, they recalled.

“I’m still trying to digest it,” he said with a grin.
